The annual meeting of the Utlaut Memorial Foundation, supporting Greenville Regional Hospital, was conducted Monday evening at Greenville College’s Armington Center.

It was reported by Hospital President and CEO Brian Nall that the official papers have been signed and filed for the transfer of Greenville Regional Hospital to Hospital Sisters Health System. The change occurs May 2nd.

A new board will oversee the hospital in Greenville when HSHS takes over.

Remaining from the past board will be Jeffrey Mollet as chairman, Michael Suess as vice-chairman, Jerry Gaffner as secretary, and Bart Caldieraro. New board members are Nancy Gillard from Greenville plus Ann Carr, Sister Mary Beth Culnan and Jim Dover from HSHS. Carr will serve as treasurer.

During Monday’s meeting, retiring board members were honored. They were Betty Imboden, member from 1995 to 2016, Leonard Taylor, member from 2003 to 2016, Rosie York, member from 2010 to 2016, Ernie Chappel, member from 2011 to 2016, and Dr. Kelsey Hopkins, member from 2014 to 2016.

A blessing ceremony and an announcement of the new name for the hospital will be held on Wednesday, May 4th.
