At Monday evening’s meeting of the Utlaut Memorial Foundation, speakers focused on the hospital’s rich history and the upcoming change to becoming a member of the Hospital Sisters Health System.
The change will occur on May 2nd.
After Brian Nall, Greenville Regional Hospital CEO and President, gave his report, which included a historical perspective, Jim Dover, HSHS division president and CEO for the Southern Illinois Division, spoke about HSHS.
Dover said the goal is to maintain the vision of Mary Utlaut, who provided the seed money in the late 1950s for a hospital to be built in Greenville. He also said he expects a smooth transition starting next week.
