Former Librarian Mary Hoiles and Bond County Historical Society President Kevin Kaegy talked about the early days of the Greenville Public Library including its humble beginning in the closet of a private residence prior to the Civil War. The library later moved to the Bond County Courthouse, then in 1903 the Carnage Foundation donated $10,000 to construct the current building at 4th and Main in Greenville.
