Lois Belle Wehrle, age 94 of Mulberry Grove, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at her home in Mulberry Grove.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mulberry Grove First Church of Christ with Pastor Randy Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in Maxey Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Memorials may be made to the Mulberry Grove First Church of Christ.
Lois Belle, the daughter of Frank Roach and Alta Nelson Roach, was born May 29, 1921 in Bond County. She grew up on the family farm and attended Seagraves School. Lois married Henry Steiner in 1937. Henry passed away in 1960. Lois then married Herbert Wehrle, he also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wehrle helped to take care of people all her life. She was an in-home care giver.
Surviving are her children; daughter Carole and husband Dr. Harold Bristow of Smithboro, daughter Mary Ann Steiner of Mulberry Grove, son Henry Steiner and wife Doris of Mulberry Grove, step-son Max Wehrle and step-daughter Kay Harris of Mulberry Grove. She was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 sons David and Eddie Steiner, brother Marion Roach and sister Cordia Auler.
Mrs. Wehrle was a member of the Mulberry Grove First Church of Christ.
