Mildred C. Moore age 92 of Marion, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Century Assisted Living in Carbondale.
Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Zion Cemetery with Minister Billy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. For those who desire memorials in Mildred’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, the Celtic Hospice, or Zion Cemetery at Donnell-Wiegand or at the service.
Mildred Evelyn Cline, the daughter of Pete Cline and Jennie Grace Alexander Cline, was born on May 13, 1923 on the Cline farm near Zion Cemetery. Mildred attended the Bond County one room country schools and graduated from Greenville High School. Mildred and her family lived in Robinson for many years raising their children there. Mildred worked for Crawford Electronics in Robinson and retired from Victor-Dana in Robinson. Mildred moved to Marion in 1993 to be near her family.
Mildred and J. G. “Jerry” Moore were united in marriage on February 16, 1941 in Greenville and enjoyed over 57 years together before Jerry’s death on November 17, 1998.
They are survived by three of their four children: Kathy Ann (Joe) Stewart of Marion, IL,
Randall Wayne (Kris) Moore of Rochester, IL, James Dean (Sheila) Moore of Jasper, Alabama, 5 grandchildren: Shawn (Doug) Floyd, Sharon (Denny) Dowson, Angela (Dan) Janssen, Jamie Moore, David (Dawn) Stewart, and 10 great-grandchildren: Ashley Masters, Breana Masters, Cami Dowson, Cody Dowson, Max Janssen, Joey Janssen, Jon Janssen, Kendall Moore, Jaxon Stewart, Tori Stewart and sister in-law Lily Moore of Vandalia.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents Pete and Grace Cline, her husband Jerry, and their son Richard Lee Moore. Mildred is the last of her generation of 4 Cline siblings being preceded in death by brother Eugene Cline, and sisters Jennie Schroeder, and Vinita C. Long.
