The Mulberry Grove Board of Education met Monday. Superintendent Brad Turner reported the third categorical state aid payment for transportation and special education is vouchered in Springfield but the funds have not been released. Turner said currently, education fund revenues are slightly ahead of expenditures. Compared to March 2015, the district is about $38,000.00 better off financially.
Following a closed session, the board accepted a letter of resignation from individual elementary aid Kate Alderman effective at the end of the current school year. Vacancies will be posted for a half time KRP teacher and a full time speech pathology teacher. The board extended the contract for Elementary Principal Bobby Koontz through the 2019-2020 school year and the contract for Superintendent Brad Turner through the 2018-2019 school year.
