Woman Accused Of Allegedly Injuring Infant Son To Undergo Fitness Test

A Vandalia woman, charged with allegedly injuring her baby, will have a fitness evaluation to determine if she is fit to stand trial.

Aubree Hammer, age 23, was in Fayette County Circuit Court recently for a case status hearing and Judge Don Sheafor ordered that a fitness evaluation be conducted.

Hammer is charged with alleged aggravated battery of a child, under the age of 13, with great bodily harm or permanent disability.

The infant boy was three and one-half months old when the alleged incident occurred on February 17th.
