An old-fashioned Bluegrass Music Festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 14 from 1 to at least 8 p.m. on the downtown Greenville square.
The Greenville City Council has issued a liquor license to the Bond County VFW to serve beer during the event. A flea market is being planned and there will be food vendors.
Debbie Neer, coordinator of the festival, said the proceeds from the event will be used to offset burial expenses for veterans throughout the region.
