Electronics Recycling

The City of Greenville’s Electronics Recycling Program will be held Friday and Saturday at the Public Works Department, on South Fourth Street next to Vandalia-Greenville Ready Mix.

Public Works Superintendent Bill Grider said this year’s program is being held in partnership with a veterans’ assistance organization. The group will take the equipment to St. Louis, decommission the equipment, scrap what they can, and use the money for projects to help veterans.

Grider said if you can plug it in, they will most likely accept the item. While some electronics recycling programs charge a fee for accepting a television, the City of Greenville’s will not.
