Greenville Elementary School hosted an American Red Cross blood drive Monday, May 16. Thirty-eight people registered with 32 units of whole blood and six units of red blood cells collected. The Red Cross goal was 32 units. Amanda Gaffner got a first-time donor blood drop pin. Lisa Stockamp received a five-gallon pin and Kelly Rinella a one-gallon pin. Kyle Littlefield, Tom Schaefer, and Mike Peppler each donated two units of red blood cells. Mrs. Rinella’s kindergarten class recruited the most donors and will get a pizza party.
St. Nicholas Church in Pocahontas hosted an American Red Cross blood drive Tuesday, May 17. Twenty-eight people registered with 23 units collected. Patrick Flanigan received a three-gallon pin and Tom Kalous a two-gallon pin.
