The Bond County Senior Center is alerting Medicare recipients that the Social Security Administration is sending out letters this month, regarding eligibility for extra benefits. Senior Center Director Anna Oestreich told WGEL these letters are legitimate and should be taken seriously as they may results in helpful benefits.
Oestreich said these letters are sent every May to people who are enrolled in Medicare that are likely eligible, but not enrolled in, the Part D low income subsidy and the Medicare Savings Programs.
