Bond County residents might have recently received a letter in the mail from a group known as the Voter Participation Center or VPC.
Bond County Clerk Randy Reitz said the letter might confuse persons who know they are properly registered to vote.
The county clerk urges residents to contact him before sending the paperwork mailed to them.
Reitz said whoever is behind VPC must have some money because all of the letters contain postage paid return envelopes to his address.
The county clerk said voter registration in Bond County is very good with about 12,300 of the nearly 18,000 residents signed up to vote. Of course, many of those who are not registered are not old enough to vote.
