At the Greeville Graffiti Car Show Saturday, Motorcycle Hall of Famer Don Emde will be in attendance to sell and autograph copies of his new book,” Finding Cannonball’s Trail.”
Cannonball Baker rode coast-to-coast on a motorcycle in 1914 and Emde organized the re-creation of the trip in 2014. Baker actually came through Greenville in 1914 and the bicentennial riders stopped in the city two years ago.
Greenville is included in different sections of the book.
Emde said he remembers his first visit to Greenville when planning for the ride.
Emde said he and the other riders were impressed by the reception they received from the city when they rolled into town on May 9th, 2014.
Emde will be at the Friday night “Evening At The Diner” event at the high school gym, and will be in the courthouse gazebo Saturday to greet visitors to the car show and sign books.
