Helen C. Greimann, age 100 of Shelbyville and formerly of Bond County, passed away 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville with Darryl Bolen officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Memorials may be made to the Bond County Senior’s Center.
Helen Cornelia, the daughter of Floyd and Maud Grace Kuhn Rench, was born February 4, 1916 in Pleasant Mound Township, Bond County, Illinois. She grew up in Pleasant Mound, attended the local schools and Mulberry Grove High School. Helen worked for the Telephone Company for 20 years as an operator.
Helen and Enno W. Greimann were united in marriage on June 6, 1936 in Effingham, Illinois. They enjoyed 53 years together. Enno passed away on December 9, 1989. They had a daughter, who survives, Pat Cruthis of Shelbyville, Illinois. Helen moved to Shelbyville, Illinois in 2012 to be near her daughter. She was an active member of the Bond County Senior’s Center.
Helen is survived by her daughter, 2 grand-daughters: Pamela and husband Gary Frost of Belleville, Illinois and Teri and husband Kevin Boehm of Shelbyville, Illinois. Loving great-grandmother of 4: Melina, Molly and husband Aaron, Jordan and Megan, great-great-grandmother of 2 boys: Liam and Levi. She is also survived by a sister Jean and husband Dale Widman of Highland, Illinois.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husband Enno, and siblings: Carroll Rench, Agnes Pringle, Lola at age 12 and Elsie Siebert.
