Jennifer Tipsword, age 31, of Grantfork, passed away Monday, May 30, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. Funeral services for 31 year-old Jennifer Tipsword will be Friday, June 3, at 1:00 p.m., in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Alhambra. Friends may call Thursday, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to her son Landyn Harley Tipsword care of Midwest Members Credit Union. Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Alton on June 23, 1984, she was the daughter of Ronald and Deborah (Monken) Barnes of Bethalto.
She had been a dental hygienist and homemaker.
On September 4, 2009 in Wood River, she married Ashby Tipsword. He survivies.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by a son, Landyn Harley Tipsword of Grantfork; brother, Christopher Barnes (Fiance’, Gabrielle Smock); sister, Stephanie Barnes of Wood River; niece, Emma Graham; nephew, Cohl Barnes.
