The Benjamin Mills Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented an official NSDAR Flag Award Certificate to the local AMVETS Post 140 for all their dedicated work, time, and honor extended towards our Nation’s flag, its proper use, correct display, and patriotic presentation.

For the past 23 years, the Greenville AMVETS have sponsored, coordinated, maintained, and displayed the U.S. flags that are displayed throughout the City of Greenville. Each flag is dedicated in honor of a deceased veteran. AMVETS post the flags five times each year.

Lisa Stephens, of the Benjamin Mills Chapter of NSDAR, said the group was “…proud and honored to award this official service award to the AMVETS Post 140 for their many years of dedicated service to our community, especially in such a memorable way that honors the veterans who have gone on before us.”
