Local candidates who are unopposed are Circuit Clerk Rex Catron, Coroner Tony Brooks and State’s Attorney Chris Bauer, in addition to county board members Frank Lucco and Eldon Young.
Reitz said the period for those wanting to file as third party or independent candidates is June 20 through June 27.
Bond County residents can now register to vote at the county clerk’s office, located in the county annex building in the 200 block of College Avenue. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
