The Illinois Emergency Management Agency has awarded its annual grants to Illinois counties and large cities.
Bond County receives $2,317.23.
Allan Davis, Bond County emergency services coordinator, said the money is received by the state from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Illinois issues a total of $4 million in grants.
Davis said the grants are awarded annually to all counties in Illinois to be used for the day-to-day operations of local emergency preparedness and response programs.

Amounts received by area counties include $18,688 for Fayette County, $20,258 for Montgomery County, $21,767 for Clinton County, and $61,514 for Madison County.
