In their meeting Tuesday night, the Bond County Board reviewed the six month recycling report for the county. Over 60,000 pounds, or 30.05 tons, of material was recycled in the first half of 2016. This total includes over 3 tons of plastic, 12 tons of cardboard, 1.4 tons of newspaper, 7 tons of magazines, a quarter ton of aluminum cans, and just shy of one ton of steel cans.
The Bond County Recycling Center is located just east of Greenville on Rt. 40 near the Greenville Veterinary Clinic.
