A valuable service provided by the City of Greenville to its residents is limb pickup.
Last Wednesday, an intense storm went through the area, leaving many limbs and parts of trees on the ground, and knocking out power in and around the city.
Bill Grider, Greenville’s public works superintendent, said his staff has been concentrating this week on the street oiling project, but brush pickup will begin again soon.

Residents do not have to report they have brush piles. Crews will see them along the curb when they canvass the city.
