Around 7:45 Sunday Morning Greenville firefighters responded to a call of smoke and fire at the Greenville Country Club. Route 140 next to the club was quickly shut down as firefighters worked the scene.
Flames and smoke were coming from just under the bar at the club. WGEL talked to Bryan Braye, the greens keeper at the Greenville Country Club:

Greenville and Mulberry Firefighters responded to Sunday morning’s fire at the Country Club. Both Fire damage and extensive smoke damage were incurred at the Greenville Country Club. Route 140 was closed for almost an hour.
