Doris E. Kaufman


Doris E. Kaufman, age 90 of Alhambra, IL, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Faith Care Center in Highland, IL.

She was born September 21, 1925, in Troy, IL, the daughter of Allen and Mildred (nee Howerton) Howard.

On August 12, 1945, she married Elwayne E. Kaufman at Worden, IL. He passed away on February 10, 1980.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Alhambra, IL. She was also a member of Madison County 4-H as a Leader for many years, and the E-Z Riders Trail Riders.

Doris was born in Troy, IL . She attended Edwardsville High School. She married her husband and together they farmed North of Alhambra. She was very active with horse and dog training for many years. She was a Madison County 4-H Leader for many years involved with Horse Training and Showmanship as well as Dog Obedience. She enjoyed sewing, trail riding, gardening and carpentry projects work with her son-in-law.

Mother – Mildred Howard nee Howerton
Husband – Elwayne E. Kaufman died 2/10/1980

Brother In-law – Lamoine Kaufman
Sister In-law – Delores Hoge
Brother In-law – Arthur Hoge

Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL .

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL., with Rev. Mark Gause officiating.

Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Alhambra, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Animal Shelter.
