A father and son from Nokomis are in police custody at this hour after allegedly threatening Montgomery County law enforcement officials.
At around 11 AM Tuesday, July 5, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office received a complaint regarding an alleged retail theft at the Dollar General store in Coalton. Sheriff’s deputies and Nokomis Police responded and reportedly found 20 year old Dalton K. Finley and his father, 42 year old Bradley A. Finley in a “highly irate” state in the store. Additional law enforcement personnel were requested due to the pair’s behavior.
When the Finleys were taken into custody they allegedly threatened officers by stating that outlaw motorcycle gangs and other gang-related groups with weapons were on their way to help the Finleys. Police say the Finleys allegedly continually threatened to harm the family members of law enforcement personnel and allegedly resisted arrest.
Dalton and Bradley Finley are being held in the Montgomery County Jail pending formal charges.
