After having full-day Kindergarten Readiness Program classes at the Pocahontas and Sorento schools last school year, a full-day class is being created at the Greenville Elementary School for 2016-17.
Scott Pasley, Unit 2 KRP coordinator, said the small building, west of the GES parking lot, is being used for the class. The modular building is being remodeled for the all-day program.

Pasley said a selection process is used to fill the 20-student class, which looks at a student’s developmental needs, age, and teacher and parent referrals.

He said the full-day KRP classes in Sorento and Pocahontas were a success last year.
Two teachers will still oversee morning and afternoon half-time KRP classes at GES.
