According to the Greenville Police Department June activity report, there were six cases of battery in June.
Officers investigated one burglary from a motor vehicle, two thefts less than $500.00, one forgery, and one instance of criminal damage to property.
There were two offenses involving juveniles and eight for possession or delivery of illegal drugs.
Officers issued citations for 14 uninsured motorist infractions, two for illegal transportation of alcohol, and 12 driver’s license violations. They wrote nine speeding tickets and five citations for seat belt infractions.
Police made 47 traffic arrests and 36 criminal arrests. They responded to eight traffic accidents one with injuries.
Local fire protection districts responded to a total of 61 calls.
