Heritage Railroad Update

Volunteers hard at work on the American Heritage Railroad at the American Farm Heritage Museum

Improvements and additions are constantly being made at the American Heritage Railroad on the American Farm Heritage Museum grounds near Greenville.

David Kessinger, railroad division president, said they are realigning tracks to accommodate their steam locomotive and they will be installing a double-spouted water tower.

The division is currently in need of a volunteer carpenter.

Train rides are given at the farm museum, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of the month through October. They will also be available at Farm Heritage Days July 29th, 30th and 31st.
