With a heat advisory in effect until Friday night, pet owners are reminded to take proper precautions when it comes to your animals.
Dr. Lynette Hemker of the Greenville Veterinary Clinic said there are a lot of concerns regarding pets in hot temperatures. She told WGEL to protect your pet, make sure they have shade and plenty of water. You can walk dogs early in the morning when temperatures aren’t as high. Dr. Hemker also stressed that you should never leave your pet in a car on a warm day.
