The CSX Railroad crossing at Smithboro will be closed for work beginning Monday, July 25. The Bond County Sheriff’s Department told WGEL they were advised by CSX the crossing could be closed through Friday, July 29. Be sure to give yourself extra travel time and find an alternate route if you normally drive through that crossing.
