A single vehicle accident occurred at 9 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 70, about one-half mile east of the Pocahontas exit.
A Missouri resident in an SUV was taken to HSHS Holy Family Hospital in Greenville by the Pocahontas-Old Ripley Fire District ambulance service for treatment of minor injuries.
Fire Chief Dennis Lindley said the accident occurred during a heavy rain. The vehicle left the highway and travelled into the median, where the driver was able to stop the SUV.
The Greenville Fire District was called to provide mutual aid, but the alarm was cancelled before the department reached the scene.
