July Animal Control Report

In their recent meeting, the Bond County Board reviewed and accepted the animal control report for July.

Animal Control Officer Jim Hess received 64 animal complaints last month, 41 from within the city limits of Greenville. 13 dogs were impounded and all were released to owners. 13 cats were impounded with none released to owners.

One animal was released to a no-kill shelter and six animals were adopted. Two cats were euthanized and one animal escaped.

Seven wild animal reports were received; two raccoons, one snake, two owls, and two opossums.

Two animal bites were reported, one from the county and one within the city limits.
