The Greenville Public Library board met last week and Library Director Mike Westbrooks reported the library will have a cash flow problem until local real estate taxes are received. A transfer of funds was needed.
Elise Merrill-Cranston has been hired as a part-time library clerk.
The board is looking at long term goals regarding the library building, services and programs.
The library elevator passed inspection.
Head Librarian Christal Valentin said the summer reading programs have been completed.
A total of 158 children were in the Ice Cream For Books program and 68 adults signed up for the adult summer reading program.
Young readers received 287 coupons for a Dairy Queen treat.
Winners of the Kindle Fires in the adult program were Kim Peppler and Kim Peterson.
