MG School Car Fire

Mulberry Grove Firefighters responded Wednesday, at 9:26 a.m., to a report of a car fire at the school. According to Fire Chief Dwight Volkmar, a blown oil or transmission line allowed oil to contact the exhaust manifold or hot engine causing ignition. The fire was confined to the engine compartment but Volkmar said the car is a total loss. There were no injuries and firefighters were on the scene about half an hour.
