Michael T. Wells, 68 of Bloomington, IL formerly of Panama passed away at 9:15 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Heartland Healthcare in Normal, IL.
He was born January 10, 1948 in East Chicago, IN the son of Jesse “Zeke” Wells II and Frances (Racicot) Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Karen (Piper) Wells, and two brothers Jesse “Jay” Wells III and Craig Caldwell.
Mike was a Vietnam veteran. He was a retired car sales manager at Lakeland Ford in Lakeland, FL. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, poker, billiards, board games with his family, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: Sons, Kristopher (wife Jill) Wells of Bloomington, IL; Michael Wells and Brian Wells both of Murfreesboro, TN. Daughters, Melanie Wells of Panama, IL; Erica (husband Derek) LeMaster of Edwardsville, IL; Jennifer (husband Martin) Scribner of Maricopa, AZ. Sisters, Cathy (husband Darrell) Rau of Panama, IL; Tina Wells of Fillmore, IL; Sue Wells of Wilsonville, IL. Brother, Robert Wells of Vandalia, IL. Grandchildren, Macenzie, Maressa, Maryn, Colton, Mikayla, and Ian. One great-granddaughter, Olivia. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 pm till time of service at Perfetti Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Elm Point Cemetery in Donnellson.
At the completion of services family and friends will gather at Panama VFW for dinner.
