Possible Sale Of Health Department Land

At a special Bond County Board of Health meeting this week, board members voted unanimously to accept an offer to purchase the two acres of unimproved health department land, which is currently in crop production immediately adjacent to 4th Street.

A sale price of $25,000 per acre was set by the board. The sale requires the approval of the Bond County Board and has been added to the agenda for their September 6 meeting.

According to the Health Department, the prospective buyer reports plans to build a memory care/Alzheimer’s care facility on the land.
