Bank Robbery In Raymond

A bank robbery was reported Tuesday, September 13 at 12 noon at the Bank & Trust in Raymond, IL. According to Montgomery County law enforcement officials, a black male dressed in light colored blue jeans, tan work boots, a white v-neck T-shirt and a black skull cap entered the Bank & Trust in Raymond at 11:59 a.m. carrying a black and white plaid backpack and allegedly robbed the bank.

The suspect has a small tattoo on his left check next to his eye. He was last seen traveling northwest on foot. You can see a bank surveillance photo on our website, WGEL.com.

Schools in Raymond were on lockdown for a time Tuesday afternoon. Police canvased the area but were unable to locate the suspect. He is described as a black male, 6’1″-6’2″ tall, 200+ pounds, with a tattoo on his left cheek.
