Health Dept Land Sale Approved

The Bond County Board met Tuesday and approved the sale of two acres of land owned by the Bond County Health Department. The land is currently in crop production immediately adjacent to 4th Street. The buyer plans to build a memory care/Alzheimer’s care facility on the land.

The board also approved two county aid projects for the highway department; one for $18,000 on Airport Avenue in Pleasant Mound Township, the other for $12,000 on Sixth Avenue in Tamalco Township.

Alan Mettler was appointed to the Three County Public Water District for a five-year term and Jim Potthast was appointed to the Highland-Pierron fire Protection District for a three-year term.
