The Lemuel Rhodes Cancer Foundation held its Celebration of Life event Saturday night at the American Farm Heritage Museum.
Many people attended the various activities during the night.
At the end of the event, John Goldsmith said the total amount raised during the past year came to $40,002.75. He told us the group will be able to help many cancer patients in Bond County with those funds.

Over $12,000 of the $40,000 raised came from the WGEL pie auction.
During the celebration’s opening ceremony, WGEL was recognized for sponsoring the pie auction for many years.
Greenville Mayor Alan Gaffner issued a proclamation declaring Saturday, September 24 as the Lemuel Rhodes Cancer Foundation’s Celebration of Life Day.
All money raised by the foundation is used to assist Bond County cancer patients.
