Rain forced Saturday’s Airstravaganza open house at the Greenville Airport to be held Sunday. The airport also celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Sherry Schaefer, airport authority vice chair, told Jeff Leidel that moving the event to Sunday limited the number of airplanes on display. She said while it was disappointing, there were still other activities to enjoy. She also noted the airport has been fortunate to have an active group of pilots.

The Airstravaganza cruise-in featured classic cars from throughout the area. They were parked on both sides of the asphalt parking lot.
Visitors to the event were able to walk on the airport apron and see airplanes up close.
