During the recent Airstravaganza at Greenville Airport, Randy Alderman of Bradford National Bank, made a special presentation.
Alderman said when a group of individuals wanted to start the Greenville Airport, they came to Bradford National Bank over 50 years ago. BNB gave the group a $400 loan to start the airport. At the Airstravaganza, the bank donated the original $400 back to the Airport Authority in celebration of the group’s 50th anniversary.

The $400 was used for an option to buy the first piece of land for the airport. The loan was for six months at six percent interest.
The airport is located about five miles south of Greenville.
