At the Class 1A girl’s tennis sectional tournament in Springfield over the weekend, Greenville High School senior Noelle Beans and junior Chloe Schaufelberger placed third in doubles to qualify for the state tourney.
Head Coach Vaughn Robart said it was a big accomplishment for the girls, who have been the Lady Comets’ number one double’s team all season.

The state tournament is at Buffalo Grove, in the Chicago area.
Schaufelberger and Beans will play their first match on Thursday. The tournament is double elimination and concludes on Saturday.
