At Friday morning’s homecoming chapel program, Greenville College honored four men with alumni awards.
The Distinguished alumni award was given to Stanley Ellis, a 1959 graduate. The Loyalty Award went to Richard Schien, who graduated in 1962.
Jeff Finley received the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award. He is a 1996 G.C. graduate.
The Briner Salt and Light Award was given to Enoch Poon, a 1986 graduate.
Ellis, an Indianapolis resident, has been involved in education for many years as a teacher and school board member.
Schien has served more than 25 years on the Greenville College Alumni Board and Board of Trustees. He lives in Carlinville and is the founder, president and CEO of Karmak, Inc.
Finley, also from Indianapolis, is the managing editor for the Free Methodist Church’s Light and Life Magazine, and is a G.C. adjunct instructor of journalism.
Poon has degrees in math, computer science and law. He has founded two companies in Florida, has worked as an attorney in Kentucky and has been a guest lecturer at Greenville College’s professional business leader’s class.
