Humane Society Memorial Bricks

With the need to raise money to complete its office/cat shelter building, the Bond County Humane Society is planning a new campaign.

Rachel Hundsdorfer, society president, said an area will be set up near the new building to feature memorial bricks. Proceeds from the bricks will be used to finish the new building.

The building, adjacent to the society’s dog facilities off of South Elm Street in Greenville, is constructed, but Hundsdorfer said another $78,000 is needed to finish the inside.

Money for the new building came from a grant provided by the Petco Foundation. Other entities donated services or materials for it.
