The Greenville Board of Police Commissioners is in the process of developing a procedure for a police sergeant promotion list.
There is no sergeant opening on the Greenville Police Department at this time. The police board wants to put together a promotion list, to use if a vacancy should occur.
Those wanting on the list would have to take a written test and be interviewed.
The current sergeants, Deb Keserauskis and Scott Workman, have submitted possible interview questions to the board regarding standard operating procedures in the police department.
An officer must have two years’ experience as a full-time Greenville officer, to take the promotion test.
The police board will continue to work on the procedures.
Commissioners include Deb Garde as chairman, Jill Franks and Allan Davis.
