AMVETS Post 140 will conduct their 19th annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11th at 11:00 AM. The ceremony will include recognition of the placement of new bricks. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the First United Methodist Church on south Second Street. Music will be provided by the Greenville High School Chorus and the Chapman Brothers.

Illinois Department of AMVETS Commander Richard Shea is scheduled to be the Guest speaker at the event.

Area veterans’ organizations will be involved in the ceremony in numerous ways.

In recognition of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, which ultimately led the United States into World War II, all memorial bricks with names of those who served in WWII will be marked with a flag clip.
