Brett Allen Schewe, age 20 of Greenville, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Greenville First Christian Church with Darryl Bolen officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, December 2, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Greenville First Christian Church. Memorials may be made to the Mulberry Grove FFA Program, Greenville First Christian Church, or the donor’s choice and are available at the Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home or at the church.
Brett Allen, the son of Mark and Amy Stewart Schewe was born September 16, 1996 in Greenville. Brett grew up in Bond County, attended Mulberry Grove School and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School with the class of 2015. He was an active member of the Mulberry Grove FFA and held various offices with the FFA. His love was horses and was a member of the Illinois High School Rodeo Association. Brett received several trophies with the association. Brett started college at North East Oklahoma on a rodeo scholarship. He had to move back home due to health problems and was attending Kaskaska College studying AG Business.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Amy Schewe, sister Amanda Ann Schewe, paternal grandmother Virginia Shewe and maternal grandparents Glenn and Judy Stewart. Also surviving are several uncles and aunts: Diane Kelly and husband Tim, Marsha Meyer and husband Bob, Lora Kennedy and husband Steve, William Schewe and wife Barb, Darrin Stewart and Susan Hensey and husband Terry and 15 cousins.
