The Bond County Courthouse lawn was a busy place Saturday morning as a group of Greenville College students conducted a cleanup project.
Starting at 7 a.m., the students performed various tasks as directed by County Board Chairman Howard Elmore. He said the students were very active, cleaning the grounds, laying mulch, planting bulbs, and more.

Kami Suess, part of the group, said they were looking for a way to serve and contacted Elmore to see how they could help.
