Dan D. Spradling age 52 of Mulberry Grove, passed away at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his home in Mulberry Grove, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the Mulberry Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Benji Potter officiating. Interment will follow in Mulberry Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until service time. For those who desire memorials in Dan’s memory may be made to the Gilham Masonic Lodge #809 A.F. & A.M.

Dan Douglas Spradling, the son of Donald Dean Spradling and Louise Campbell Spradling Bilyeu, was born on February 26, 1964 in Fayette County Hospital. Dan was raised in Mulberry Grove, Granite City, Vandalia, Benton, Mt. Vernon, and Greenville. Dan attended the Greenville Junior High and graduated from Greenville High School in 1982. Dan worked for D. & S. Chemical then attended Welding School in Kaskaskia College in Centralia for 2 years. Dan then worked as welder and boiler maker from Ohio to Tennessee and in the midwest for several years.

Dan and Teresa L. Koonce were united in marriage on August 9, 1987 at the Smith Grove Baptist Church and they were later divorced. Dan later married Kimberly A. Matthews Gum Sinnett on January 16, 2004 in the Mulberry Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Gary Loeffler and they were later divorced.

Dan is survived by his son Todd Douglas Spradling of Greenville, mother Louise Bilyeu of Greenville, grandmother Marjorie Ray of Mulberry Grove, step son Jacob S. Tally of Greenville, step grandson Jacob L. Tally, aunt Judi “Drew” Duncan of Sorento, and uncle Ronald L. Spradling of Mulberry Grove.

Dan is preceded in death by his father Donald D. Spradling, and aunt Carla Woosley.

Dan is a member of the Gilham Masonic Lodge # 809 A.F. & A.M. of Mulberry Grove, the Boiler Makers Union #363 of Belleville, and the Mulberry Grove Baptist Church.
