The annual Scouting For Food pickup was Saturday in Bond County.
In Greenville, members of Boy Scout troops collected food donated by local residents.
The food was taken to the First Presbyterian Church where Bond County Girl Scouts sorted it.
The food items will be used for the baskets being distributed in this year’s Bond County Community Canned Food Drive.
Applications for food baskets are now available at the Greenville Police Department, Bond County Health Department, BCMW Office in Greenville and Bond County Senior Center. They must be returned no later than December 8.
Cash donations can be dropped off at the police department.
A spokesman for the drive said there is still a need for cans of fruit and soup.
Food baskets will be distributed on December 10 at the Greenville First Presbyterian Church. The distribution schedule, by fire district, is on the application.
