Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Salvation Army bell ringing is underway. Last Saturday, 4-H members and the Mulberry Grove American Legion were busy manning the red kettles and collecting money.

Collections points are Capri IGA and Dollar General. Volunteers will man the buckets every day through Christmas evening. Bell ringers will be at Buchheit every Saturday.

Pastor Wayne Pierce, county chairperson for the Salvation Army effort, said there are many in need this year and urged everyone to be generous with donations. Pierce said the number served by the local Salvation Army effort seems to grow every year.

On Saturday, December 17, Capri IGA will match up to $1,000 of all donations collected at their store that day.

If you would like to volunteer to ring the bell, call 664-2210.
