At Monday night’s Unit 2 board meeting, hirings were approved for the expansion of the pre-kindergarten and project parenting programs this school year.
Resignations and retirements were also accepted.
Hired in the two early education programs were Scott Pasley and Laurie Schneck as instructional leaders, Nichole Spurgeon, Stephanie Balducci, Tara Faulkner, Kelsey Leitschuh and Lynn Brandmeyer as Pre-K teachers; Kerri Miller, Brandmeyer, Sandra Gudgel, and Kellee Suzuki as Pre-K aides; Tiffany Mendenhall, Elizabeth Provost, Laura Pierce, Kim Mince and Patrice White as parent educators and infant toddler specialists, and Brianna Wade and Brianna Smith as part-time office workers.
There are still a few positions to be filled.
In other action, the board hired Leonisa Grider as a food service employee at the high school.
The retirements of Dan Lappe and Pauline Harris, were accepted. Lappe is a custodian at the high school and Harris is in food service at the Greenville Elementary School. Both will retire the end of January.
The board accepted the resignations of Doug Fletcher as high school softball coach, Larry Sussenbach as assistant high school softball coach, and Keegan Nesch as assistant boys’ soccer coach at the high school.
The board approved Terry Swalley serving as a volunteer track coach at Greenville Jr. High.
Leaves of absence were approved for Shannon VanZant, Erika Knolhoff and Lauren Vohlken.
